4. Home Information Packs

Home Information Packs (HIP's) are now compulsory for all newly marketed residential properties. Abrams Collyer Solicitors can supply you with your professionally compiled HIP at a competitive price. The basic HIP containing the minimum amount of information starts at £250.00 including VAT.

The cost may vary, for example, if the property is Leasehold, or a Management Company has to be consulted. Also, the size and location of the property, can have an effect.

In certain instances there are various additional searches that you may wish to include in your HIP to give your prospective purchaser the bigger, and more accurate picture. These can include a Flood Search, Envirosearch, or a Plansearch. In our opinion, the greater the amount of information available to a prospective purchaser at the outset, the less chance there will be of your sale falling through at a later date. Information that in any event should come to light in the conveyancing process.
